Duane A. Carlson, age 56, of Pillager, died August 5, 2012.

Duane was born May 30, 1956 in Brainerd to Milton & Murriel Carlson. Duane enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing with his dogs.

Duane is survived by his mother, Murriel; brother, Doug (Gwen); nieces: Andrea (Joel) Nelson and Corinne Carlson; and aunt, Eileen Jaspersen.

Duane was preceded in death by his father, Milton.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 10, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home, Brainerd. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 9, 2012 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and one-hour prior to services on Friday. Interment will be at Baxter Cemetery.
