Juanita Lillian VanLandschoot

Juanita Lillian (Hannigan) VanLandschoot was born on May 15, 1922 to Clyde and Almedia (Elswick) Hannigan in Greendale, West Virginia. She graduated from Woodruff High School in Peoria, Illinois in 1939, then attended Bradley College in Illinois for two years and was of the Catholic faith. She will be buried at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Brainerd, MN.

Juanita married Albert E. VanLandschoot on December 29, 1941. They were in business in Rock Island, IL until 1966, moving to Crosslake, MN where they operated Lakeland Realty. She had an Illinois license in real estate. The winter of 2002, they moved to Crossville, TN. Juanita enjoyed cooking for her family and took great pride in her home; she was an avid reader and an entrepreneur in investing and in real estate.

Survivors include children: Anita M. Spalding Cremer of Crossville, TN, David A. VanLandschoot (Terie) of Littleton, CO, Daveen A. Whitney of Crossville, TN, and Allen J. VanLandschoot (Laural) of Baxter, MN; grandchildren: Mike Spalding, Tamara Penwell, Brian Laverenze, Jodie Poling, SueAnn Cornell, Justin & Leah VanLandschoot, Robert O. Whitney, Camille Jensen, and John & Emily VanLandschoot; and great grandhildren: Rachel Spalding, Thomas Penwell, Taylor & Tanner Penwell, Rachael Laverenze, Kathryn Laverenze, Emily Laverenze, Sheree Solis, Victor & Carissa Solis, Dalton & Logan Cornell, Owen Van Jensen, and Maxwell VanLandschoot.

Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Albert VanLandschoot,; daughter, Joanne E. (Laverenze) Jacks; parents; sisters, Lorena Byrd & Virginia Easter; and brother, Herman Hannigan.
